As Elim was the Oasis in the desert for the Israelites (Exodus 15:27) we too believe knottingley Elim to be a place the Lord will bring the refreshing of His Spirit.
Knottingley Community Church is part of the Elim Pentecostal Movement which began as more than 550 churches accross the Uk and Ireland. Elim was founded in 1915 by George Jeffreys, a young Christian from South Wales who Joined with others forming a group known as the Elim Evangelistic Band. Together they preached the gospel and witnessed many miracles healings and people becoming Christians under a mighty move of God.
